Student Organizations Complex
Overview
The Student Organization Complex (SOC) located in Illini Union Room 280 houses the
offices of more than 50 Registered Student Organizations.
The mission of the SOC is to enhance the contributions of organizations by providing
space for many different groups to work, mingle and collaborate.
The SOC houses:
- 9 organizational offices
- 45 cubicles
- 58 cabinets
- 106 mailboxes
Space Allocation
The Illini Union Board is responsible for allocating space in the SOC.
Because the number of offices is limited, stated guidelines will allow space to be
given to those organizations that most need the space.

Compliance
Organizations must be in compliance with the requirements and procedures in order
to gain or retain office space in the Illini Union. Any violation of these rules shall
be kept on file as they occur and may result in the loss of office space. The details
of the policies may be changed without notice.
