Treasurers are required to attend a mandatory Treasurers’ Financial Workshop offered by the Registered Organizations Office. Successful completion of the workshop will allow the treasurer to:
- Receive approval for their organization’s fundraising events.
- Submit SORF funding requests.
- Obtain or establish their group’s Organization Fund Account.
Workshop Overview
Practical information will be provided for treasurers as it relates to the financial management of their organization. The workshop will prepare treasurers to fulfill their financial responsibilities. The following information will be covered during the workshop:

Registration
To register for a Treasurers’ Financial Workshop, stop by the front desk in the Student Organization Complex, Room 280 Illini Union, or call 217.333.1153.
Pre-registered students will receive priority. If you show up at a workshop without pre-registering, you may be required to sign up for the next available workshop if there is not enough seating available.
If you will be serving as treasurer of more than one organization, make sure to indicate all affiliated organizations when registering for a workshop.
Treasurer’s Financial Workshops start promptly as scheduled. Late arrivals will not receive credit for attending the workshop. Treasurer will be required to register for the next available workshop.
